What is the American Independence Day?

Independence Day is a national celebration recognized in the United States of America and is celebrated every year on the fourth of July. This commemoration occurs on this day to celebrate the newfound independence of this Nation that is no longer part of the British Empire. On July 4th , 1776, America was officially recognized as an independent nation after a vote put this decision in favour. After this, a statement explaining this change called the Declaration of Independence was put forward by the Committee of Five, which included Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, the third US president and the first US minister to France. On July 4th , 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Declaration, both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams passed away. They were the only two of the Committee of Five that became presidents of the US, and they both died on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.
