When did humans start making art?

The first known form of art originates 35,000 years ago in the caves of Europe, where warrior images and hand prints were painted on the walls. Between 35,000 B.C. and 8,000 B.C., mankind began using red, black and yellow colors, mixing dirt and rock pigments with water. Some notable cave’s filled with ancient art are located in : Lascaux (France), Niaux( France), Gasulla (Spain) and Altamira (Spain). These early human artists also decorated tools, creating lifelike sculptures of women and animals.
